Cregan, John NI March 6, 1866 p3cl: Found Dead. Yesterday morning, at
daylight, John Cregan was found dead between the Gold Hill mill and
Boston Ravine, in the middle of the street, near GV. Deceased was
found lying upon his face and it was thought he was asleep but on
examination it was ascertained that he was dead. He was seen ina
saloon, at GV, late on Sunday night. He was about 35 years of age. The
cause of his death is not known.

Nevada after 1854; boarded at Metropolis Hotel in NC, 1855; killed at
Vicksburg; T&W p94 & 95.

for a visit to Missouri. He intends taking the overland stage coach,
more fran a spirit of adventure than any anticipation of pleasure. He
intends to pop into Missouri, pick out a charming Pike County girl,
pop the question, have the Church say grace over him and his bride and
return.
