Dr. William Grove NI September 26, 1862 p3cl: Dr. Wm. Grove Deal,
and family took their departure fran Nevada yesterday for Marysville,
where the doctor has been stationed by the late Methodist Conference.
Dr. Deal has been two years located in this city, and leaves many
friends behind him, same of whom testified their appreciation when he
was about to leave, by liberal donations. His succussor the Rev.
John B. Hill, a young man of talent, was stationed, we believe,
several years since, at GV.
Deamer, W. E. — native of England; arrived in CA January 1851; arrived in
NC 1854; engaged in the manufacture of soda water; left went East;
returned to GV in 1865; lived on Bean Street in GV; TsW p216.
