Holbrooke, William H. GVU March 12, 1875: William H. Holbrooke age 53,
expired at GV March 11, 1875. Deceased was a native of Jamica Plains
Roxbury, Massachusetts. Daniel Parker Holbrooke and brother Daniel
came to GV in 1850. They built the first bridge between GV and Auburn.
Holland, Jane expired November 21, 1882; age 20 years (County Records);
listed by LIB under Moore's Flat Cemetery.
Hollywood, Mr. _. — NI February 16, 1867 p3cl: New Bakery. — A new building is being erected on the site of the old St. Louis Hotel, on
Cammercial Street, by Mr. Hollywood of GV. As sooon as completed he
will open a new bakery and confectionery establishment. Commercial
Street is looking up.

129 Boulder Street in 1883; expired in 1883.

Holpin, William DTL'57 DEM November 18, 1857: dwelling south side of Main
Street at Woolsey's Flat.
Holsworth, Joseph expired September 27, 1898; age 26 years; listed under
Graniteville Cemetery; LIB
Holt, George in November 1849 settled about four miles below GV to
establish a saw mill run by water; finished mill in March of 1850;
attacked by Indians, elder (Samuel Holt) was killed; George Holt
survived with wounds and recovered at Stocking's Store on Deer Creek
B&D p35, 36 & 37; T&W pe4.
HOLT'S MILL located 4 miles below GV sawed lumber as early as the 3rd of
May 1850; was the first in the County; the mill was burnt by the
Indians; B&D p20.
