In the matter of the estate of Col. E. D. Boyle, deceased, a petition for letters of administration was filed in the Superior Oourt today by Fred Searls in bebalf of Edward Boyle, a‘son of the late Colonel, who was well known in this section. .A similar petition, by Michael Hussey, of Willow Valley, was before the court for consideration, but was withdrawn after some little differences between the petifioners were settled. The late Colonel Boyle was interested in a mine at Willow Valley with Mr. Hus sey, and this led to the court being applied to in the matter. A petition was also filed in the estate of Sarah Boyle, deceased, that letters of administration be issued to Edwa:d Boyle, the young man mentioned above. This course of procedure in the latter instance was taken cn account Mrs. Sarah Boyle having been the widow of the deceased Colonel. Hospital Notes, J. A medium sized audience at the Nevada Theater last evening witnessed the opening of a one week’s engagement of Faits, The Great Co. It is announced that the six nights will be devoted to demonstrations of bypnotism, mind reading, mental télegraphy, prestigation and mystery. The work of Prof. Charles W. Fait and Miss Ida Fait was enjoying, mystifying and satisfying, and no doubt each evening’s entertainment will be large attended. Fait is clever in the profession and the most of his~work is entirely new and original. Te eight years ago he took up the profession of his uncle, ‘‘Faits, The Great,” traveling the Americas, England, France, Germany, Holland and Switzerland. In Australia the elder Fait died leaving his entire estate to his nephew, Oharles W. Fait. He is a wanderer and says himself that he doesn’ t ever expect to leave the road. At 2:30 o’clock this afternoon Fait hypnotized his daughter in the window of L. Hyman & OCo.’s store, There she will remain in bypnotic slumber until 7:30 o’clock this evening, when she will be removed to the theater and awakened at 9 o’clock on the stage. Prof. Fait has played 192 towns in California on the present tour. One year ago at the Los Angeles chutes he gave the byrial teet of a subject underground for eight days in bypnotic sleep.
