exclusively in the East, so. it is somewhere within the bounds of truth to
say that the Eastern banks are not
alarmed at the statement. Nevertheless, if a free silver bill should be/
passed gold would immediately disappear from circulation and it would
be withdrawn by our own people. It
would cause a disturbance in the financial system and customs of the .country that would surely bring on the

Death of Rebecca Marsh.
After an illness of two weeks or more,
Miss Rebecca ‘Frances Marsh, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dan
Marsh,died last evening about 8 o’clock
at her home on Park Avenue. Deceased
had not been in good health for the
past year, and two weeks ago was
stricken with cerebral meningitis,which
resulted in her death.

young lady, beloved by all her ac-'’
