water to any place or building without a permit from the water agent:
PROVIDED, that any\anthorizéd agent of the
city or Fir. Department may turn on the water
for citv purposes.
Sec. 66. For all~water used for running machiners, 25 cints per miner’s inch for 24 hou:s’

July, Avgnst, and september of each year when
the WaterCompany can not obtsin more than
asufficient supply of water in the piycs for
dowes'ic purposes. and irrigation, it may refuse tosuppiy water for the purpose of running
machinery;and provided further that on the
complaintofawater consumer that he is unable to obtain a sufficie t su;ply of water for
domestic purposes or for irrigation, the Board
of Citv Trustees, may, after insestigating the
matter, order the sale of water for runni: g machinery stopped, and it shall be stopped after
. period of one week from the date of such orer.
Sec.67. The Marshal, when requested. shall
accompany the Agentof the Water Company
for the purpose of shutting off the water from
the yrenen of any person who shall be in defaultin the payment of water as provided in
this ordinauce.
The Marshal shall charge and collect from the
Water Compeny for suchservice the sum of $2
for each time he so accompanies the Water
Agent, the same to be ogg by the Marsbul into
the City Treasury the same as other funds

An ordinance to. provide Revenue—To Levy a
City Road and Street Poll Tax for the year
1894 and 1895.
MPHE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY
of Nevada do ordain as follows >
Section1. Thata City Road and Street Poll
Tax of Three Dollars is hereby levied, for the
fiscal year 1894-1895, ‘upon each méle inhabitant
of the City of Nevada, over the age of 91 years
aud under 50 years, for City Road ind Street
purposes, which said Pol. Tax shall become
due and become collectable on and after the
firs' day of July, 1894, in the manner provided
by law for the collection of School Poll Taxes.
Section 2. The City Marshal of said City of
} evada is herehy!made coliector of said tax, and
shall c.llect the same in the manner provided
by law, and upon the neglect or refusal of any
person liable therefor to pay said tax, after demand, said Marshal must collect the same by
seizure and sale of any peisonal property owned
by such person. Said sale may be made after
three hours verbal n: tiee of time and place, and
the provisions of Sections 3791, 3793, 3794, 37
and 5796 of the Political Code.of California shal
appl; to.nd’ govern such seizure and gale,
sworn report to the City Board of Trnstees of
the tutal amount of said poll taxes collected by
him during the preceding month, an@ must-pay
collection, to the City Treasurer at the same
time as Other revenues are made payable.
Section 4. The City Marshal shall be allowed
fifteen per cent of all su h poll taxes collected
by him for said fiscal year, for making such collections. ‘
