It was learned a short time afterward that the “tramps” were school teachers, and Monday was their visiting day, and they had taken this .means.of.-getting home for it. o hd Death of James Bastian. _ * James Bastian died this morning at his residence on Hill’s Flat, of his death. The deceased was one of our best known miners and worked for a long time in the Eureka and Idaho mines.* James Bastian was a splendid specimen of physical man, his height being six feet six inches and his weight tive work being 868 pounds. Deceased was much estremed by his fellow miners. He leaves a family of grown-up children. He was a native of Cornwall, England.— Tid‘ngs. ‘Lhe Best of Werk. P.
