Order continLaid to Rest, George R. Davis's Funeral Very Largely Altiended, The funeral of the late George RB. Davis at North San Juan yesterday afternoon, under the enspices of Bridgeport Lodge, No. 107, A. oO. U. W., was very largely attended. The entire community turned out and besides a number of friends from other places on the Ridge, over thirty Nevada City people were in attendance. The religious services weré conducted by Rev. W. A. Rimer, of Trinity chorch of this city. They were of a i impressive pature, and were accompanied by excellent singing by a mixed choir from here. The local cburch choirs. each sent a quota of singers to assist at the last sad rites The Reverend Rimer delivered a very touching and appropriate eulogy at the bier. He dwelt on the were exemplified in the yourg man, who had been cut down on the threshhold_of early manhood. The speaker referred to the fect that although his acquaintance with the deceased had been somewhat limited, still it had been sufficient to admire his noble qualities of heart and head. The floral offerings were very elaborate, being arranged in the very best manner known to the art.
