In the vicinity of the Wedekind find there is no vacant ground for miles. Monuments’stand out everywhere on the hillside and in the valley. Even the ranches are located. Prospectors are delving in alfalfa fields and trampling down the grain in their search for pay. Several of the farmers who bought State lands with mineral reservations have. located their own flelds in order to keep out the army of prospectors, Within the past week several claim owners bave struck better than $50 rock, although none of their mines as yet rival the famous Wedekind bullion producer. This bonanza looks better every day. The assays are getting to be something tremendous. Here is the. best, so far: Silver, 10,426 ounces, gold, $45.60; total value, $6,301.50.
