Died This Morning.
Mrs. Blizabeth J. Hitehens died early
this morning at her home on. Prospect
Hill. She has been sick several months
and recently went to San Francisco to
be operated on for cancer of the stomavh, bat did mot derive any: benefit,
and since her return a few*weeks ago}
continued to grow weaker. Three sons
and two daughters survive her, viz:
Jobn, ‘Thomas and George Hitchens,
“Mrs. Richard Eddy and Mrs. William
Bddy. Mrs. Hitchens has been a resident of this city for about thirty: years,
and was highly esteemed by ‘all who
knew her. . She was a native of Eng
land, aged 58 yearsand 8 months. The
‘funeral will take place from the Metho@ist Church Sunday afternoon at 3
o'clock.
