Tomorrow Afternoon.
It was expected, the taking of evidence in the Moore

The Transoript’s report in the Moore

that all the testimony of old man

Farm Hands Scarce.
Ranchers in Pleasant Valley and that
part of the county say they cannot
hire men enough this season to handle
their hay crops, and consequently
considerable hay is being damaged by
the burning sun. Never, before have
harvest hands been so scarce in that
section. Usually there are plenty of
men hunting for work on ranches, but
this season the ranch owners are hunting for men, The cause of this scarcity cannot be accounted for, but it is
evident that the unemployed are not
looking for this kind of work in the
lower part of Nevada county.
