Arrested For Stealing:
Bituines, Mont., June 21—Samuel
Garven was arrested by the Federal
outhorities last night, charged with
complicity in’ stealing $18,000 worth of.
cattle from the Cree Indians, on which
charge Robert Lee is now being tried
in the United States Gourt here. The
alleged stolen cattle were found, it is
said, on Garven’s ranch by Indian
Agent Edwards. A. year ago Garven
was one of the most prosperous citizens
of Billings. After Lee’s. arrest, Garven assigned his property to the First
National Bank. A.Deputy Marsbal
left with the prisoner for Helena today.
