This afternoon as Frank: Sacks was
breaking a mule on Broad street, the
animal ran away with him, and collided
with a horse belonging to Eb. Smart,
which was hitched in front of Hennessy’s livery stable, causing the latter
to pull down a post. Sacks and the
mule continued up the street and ran
into the door of L. Hyman & Oo.
Fortunately it did not break the plateglass or injure Sacks. The mule: was

Summer Meals. 6
In every well-regulated home the
good housewife is always careful to
see that the groceries purchased are
of the best. In addition to this, care
must be observed to patronize a
grocery, house that carries a large and
well-selected stock, which includes
novelties in its line as well. During
the summer it often comes hdndy to
‘prepare a light meal, and then your
grocer becomes one of your best
friends. Geo. 0. Gaylord & Son, the
Broad-street grocers, can not be beat
when it comes to furnishing choice
groceries. Give them a trial order.

kinds were indulged in and a good
