Wealthy St. Louis Capitalists.gotiations which have been pending for some time looking to the sale of the Texas mine in the Willow Valley mining district have finally come to a close and the transfer of the property isannounced. The parties to whom the sale was made is a syndicate of wealthy capitalists of St. Louis, Mo, ~~ PROGRESSING FINELY. ~~ Tho Mineral Lands Bill Wil Soon Become an ~ a Law of the Land. ‘The dispatches from Washington, to the #4 effect that the Senate Committee has refused to amend the Mineral Lands bill for Phesale of the Texas was made through J. fT. Smith, the well-known mining engineer of San Francisco, and J. D. Bancroft of Chicago, The purchasers have a thorough knowledge of what the mine is and what may be expected of it. Mr. Smith has made numerous trips to this city and on each occasion visited the mine and did examination work. He made his last visit between two and three mouths ago, spending several days here. He went carefally over all the ground and made a close examination and inspection of everything, He made his reports to Mr, Bancroft in Chicago, who in turn submitted them direct to the St. Louis parties, Mr. Smith and a number of the interested parties will arrive in this city next week, when preliminary steps tending towards the reopening of the mine will be inaugurated.
