Table T Talk. contains entertaining aud instructive reading on culinary subjects. The artof cooking is again being revived, and many valuable hints can be found in this magazine. Address Table Talk Publishing sua avh darters Pa., says he will not be without Dr. King’s going on between Nevada and El. Dorado counties. Both have had turns at leading, and El Dorado now holds: thefront ‘place’ by a very small majority. Once during yesterday’s balloting Nevada headed her rival, but before night the latter moved up again with the aid of a large batch of votes,” : It is evident that the entire small population of El Dorado are-working for the pup, ‘while in Nevada county a small. per cent of } the people are doing herculean work to secure the prize, It is couceded~ by everyone that has seen it. that Nevada county’s éxhibit at Bunset City is by far the largest and most beautiful of any of the mining counties, and considering this fact we should by rights secure the Chronicle cup. But we will not get it unless our people stir themselves i in the way of getting the cou— pons together. The cup is not to be awarded on merit but on the number of votes cast. Yesterday the vote stood as follows: et PROO La G05 50s a ks Lk ee ous oe 24,171 IOWANS ooo Manne 23,879 We repeat, for the hundredth-time: Send the Mineral and General Product coupons ‘that are published in the Chronicle, and the Gold Cup coupon in the Examiner, to -the Darty Transcript office and we will see that every one will be made to count a vote for Nevada county for the mineral cup.
