It shall be unlawful forany person to sell or
vend any goods, wares or merchandise upon the
public streets of the City of Nevada, or to set up
or use for gain any merry-go-round, strikingmachine, phonograph, game or other thing used
for amusement, pleasure or other“purpose for
which a charge is made within the corporate lim
its of said-city without first
procuring a license
therefor, as hereinafter reautred
Section I;
All persons before engaging inany such business, amusements or things spoken of in Section
1 hereof, snall pay to the City fora license therefor in advance the following sums of money, towit: For merry-gu-rounds, ten dollars per day;
for vendors of goods, wares or merchandise on
the public streets, five dollars per day or fifteen
dollars per week; for striking-machines five dollars
per week or fifteen dollars per month; and
for all other things of amusement spoken of in
Section 1 hereof, two dollars per day or ten dollars per week.
SEcTION III.
Any person engaging in any of said businesses,
or doingeand of the things herein spoken of
without first procurmg the license therefor as
herein requfred, is hereby declared to be guilty
shall be fined in asum not less than ten dollars
nor more than one hundred dollars, or shall be
imprisoned in the city prison for aterm not exceeding ten days.
SEcTION IIIL.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in
force on and after the 6th day of February, 1894.
