The City of Nevada hereby grants . to the Sunset Telephone and Telegraph Co., its successors and assigns, the right and privilege to place, lay, erect, maintain and operate in the streets, alleys and puplic highways within said city, poles, wires and other conductors for the transmission of electricity for telephone and telegraph ptirposes.GEcftos uch wires or conductors shall be stretched upon poles or other fixtures above ground in a workmanlike and P ahaa J manner; said poles shall be erected at the edge of the manner and shall be painted.
