‘six years ago. She accompanied the family
of Captain Baldwin when that able mariner
came te California from New York City,
by way of Panama, in 1860, and came direct to this city, where she married her
husband and has since resided. As the
result of that marriage a husband, also in.
enfeebled health, and three sons survive

years ago, She was also a sister of the late
Frank Costello. The surviving sons—
Frank and Dan, of this city, and William,
now living at Oakland—are all grown, The
deceased was a native of Ireland and 67
years of age. She was an estimable
lady of a quiet disposition and above all an
affectionate, kind and loving mother. The
funeral will take place Sunday afternoon

the rifts; depicting a pretty sight indeed. .
The storm was not without its damage,
however, and there are many who deplore
its induction, The streets. of the city in
some places were furrowed to shallow
depths to maké a pathway for the: waste of
water which the gutters would not hold,

not of long enough duration to afford any
great-hurtful. effects.
