A five-stamp mill is being built at the
. old: Escondido mines, near Escondido,
San Diego, replacing the Griffin rotary
mill formerly there. The Escondido
mine has been worked off and on for
many yéars.
The first ran under the new management of the Ranchita mine, near Banner, San Diego county, is reported to
have been $50. per ton. The ore was.
taken from the 4650-fodt level. The
Ranchita will soon make a great record
fpr itself.
The dividends declared by the Crip“ple Creek mines during February ex“Geeds all previous records, aggregating
$878,000, an increase of $176,000, compated with the January disbursements.
The gold output was $1,275,250, a decrease of $500,000 compared. with January, this being due to the unusual
