New Glass Factory. .

The mining outlook in Washington
mining district is now brighter then at
any time since the early days and this
summer much aotivity will be seen
there. A number of the old mines
/are to be opened up add a large nimber of men will have employment,
which has not been worked for some
time-will be re-opened next month
It will be remembered that. the Eagle
Bird wae closed down on account of a
suit but it has. been satisfactorily settled. The mine in past years has
been an excellent producer and there
is no reason for thinking that it will
ot continue to be as the prospects
were very bright when operations
ceased. Manager Wilson will have
charge of re-opening the property.
The Odd Fellows are to build another
home for indigent members and it is
to be at San Jose, The plans must
be approved by the grand lodge in
May, before ground will be broken
and work commenced on the new
structures. The estimated cont of the
projected building is $140,000, and it
is expected that they will be completed
and ready for occupancy within three
years, The Odd Fellows’ home is at
present located at Thermalito. There
are about 100 inmates. The preposed
hew etructure at San Jose will be built
to house several times that number.
