the City Marshal and Policemen for services in cases arising out of the breech of City
Ordinances,
The Board of Trustees of the City of Nevada
do ordain as follows: ; ‘i
Section I. The fees of the City Marshal and
Policemen for all services performed in cases
arising out of the breech of any City Ordinance
shall be, where a fine is collected, the same as
are allowéd by law to Constables in criminal
cases for like services. —
Section 2, This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after the Tenth day of
January, 1895. *

“An ordinance granting to JAMES D.
HAGUE, his successors and assigns the
rightto place, erect and maintain poles, wires
and other conductors for the transmission of
electrivity for power purposes anid to lay a pipe
or conduit for the purpose of transmit ing waer
for powcr from a point in the pane highway
on the east boundary of the Kmpire Mive, in
Grass Valley township, county, of Neyada;
thence westerly along the Ophir road to the east
line of the townsite of South Grass Valley and
conducting said power line and pipe line. The
Board of Supervisors of the county of Nevada
do ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The county ‘of Nevada hereby
grants "to JAMES D. WAQGUE, his success:
ois and assigns, the right and privilege
to place, lay, work, maintain and operate on the
Ophir road from the east boundary of the Kmoie mine, westerly to the townsite of Grass
Valley, poles, wires and other conductors for
the tratisminsion of electricity for power pur
poses and a pipe line to conduct water for
power purposes.
Seotion 2, Said wires or conluctors shall be
stretched upon poles or other fixtures, qbovo
ground, ina workmavlike and proper maither,
aud in such a manneras not to interfere with
travel upon said road, and sald pipe line shall
be placed in such a manner as not. to interfere
with the use of said highway by the public.
SECTION 3. The sald grantee or assigns may
make all necessary excayations inwait high
way for the paren of erecting and maintaining poles or other euppd@rts fur said wires or
conductors or repairing the same and for the
yurpose of laying and maintaining said pipe
foe and w.id work shall be done in compli
ance With the necessary rules, regulations, or
dinances or orders which may, during the con
tinuance of this franchise so be adopted from
time to time by the Board of Supervisors of
said county, and the same shall be done to the
satisfaction of the said Board of Supervisors,
SECTION 4. The rights, priviieges and fran
peg . herein granted shall continue and be in
force forthe period of twenty-five years from
and alter the date of the passage of this ordinance.
