The Boys Are Rushing in Votes at
Grass Valley.
The contest for the bicycle offered by
Clinch & Co. of Grass Valley to the boy
bringing in the most votes on the cup ¢ontest has caused a spirited rivalry among the
youths. Yesterday Carl Jones handed in
9,581 votes, which increased his number to:
: 11,656. The contest. for the bicycle cloges

many people that the cup contests of the
Examiner and Chronicle close April Ist.
Such is not the case. The contest will be
kept up till the close of the Midwinter Fair.
All coupons not dated and all dated April
Ist are null and void after that date, and
cannot then‘ be counted. All coupons dated
after April 1st must be handed in immediately, as to insure being counted they must
reach San Francisco one day in advance of
the dates named on the coupons. They
must be sent from this city three ‘days previous to the dates named on the coupons.

L. J. Hatfield has brought suit in the Superior Court against H. J, Keymer and Wm,
Collins to recover the amount of a judgment
for $201.91 heretefore given plaintiff in a
Justice Court at Grass Valley.

A.C. and Rowen Gillespie to quiet title to
a water right on Gold Flat.
