Rowe, who fe here arranging for the exhibition at Mechanics’ Pavilion Saturday, that Herry Belford had very--nearly lost his life in a peculiar way. Harry Belford is one of the five Belford family, who do what they term a “casting act.™ That is, two members of the Bedford family hang head downwards from pedestals high up in the air and toss to each other a young member of the troupe. Itisa well known fact that acrobats, equilibrists and gymnasts must have the same music for every performance, and when the season begins they furnish the band leader with the band parte of the music they ex pect to use during the season. Professor Smith, the band leader, dropped @ page of the music last night, owing to a gust of wind that swept the tent He hurriedly substituted something else, but just at that time Harry Belford was passing from one pedestal tu another and in bis flight through the alr wae startled ut the unfamiliar music and failed to land in the waiting hends of his brother acrobat, George Belford. He dropped like a shot out of a gun, straight to the net, but fell io such a manner that he dropped on his back, turned partly over and then fell to the floor. The net saved his life, though Manager Rowe said he had undoubtedly received a severe shock. Medical_Lake Toilet Soap For the Scalp as a shampoo.
