The City of Beveds hereby grants to the Sunset Telephone and Te!egraph Co., its successors and assigns, the right and privilege to place, lay, erect, maintain and operate in the streets, alleys and public bighways within said city, poles, wires and other conductors for the po ioe mci an of electricity for telephone and telegra purposes. p SEOrON 2. Such wires or conductors shall be stretched upon poles or other fixtures above ground in a workmanlike and proper manner; said poles shall be erected at the edge of the sidewalks in said City in a good and, substantial manner and shall be painted.
