SECTION 3. The said grantee or assigns may make all necessary excavations in any of said streets, highks dy or alleys forthe purpose of maintaining said Gas pipe for lllumination in said streets, and said work shall be dene in compliance which pong during the continuance of this Franchise be adopted from time to time by the Board of Trustees of ssid City, ind shall be done to the satisfaction of said Board of Trustees. 2 SECTION 4, Nothing in this Ordinance shall be construed as in any wise to prevent the proper authorities of said City of Nevada from sewering, grading paving, repairing or altering any of said streets, aLeys or thoroughfares. , SECTION 5 The rights, privileges and Franchises herein granted shall continue and be in force for the period of twenty five (25) years from and after the date of the passage of this Ordinance. SECTION 6, z Work on said Gas plant shall be commenced within One Year from date of the pass.ge of this Ordinance, and completed within two years from the date of the passage of the same, and in default or neglect thereof this Franchise shall be forfeited. SECTION 7, The Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after twenty days after its pas a.ge. N ORDINANCE GRANTING TO THE SUNset Telephone and Telegraph ©o., its successors and assigns, the right to place, erect and maintain poles, wires and other conductors for the transmission of electricity for telephone and teJegraph purposes in and upori the streets, alieys and public ee in the City of Nevada, and to exercise the privilege of operating telephones within the said City. The Board of Trustees of the City of Nevada do ordain as follows: Se, SecTion1. The City of Beveds hereby grants to the Sunset Telephone and Te!egraph Co., its successors and assigns, the right and privilege to place, lay, erect, maintain and operate in the streets, alleys and public bighways within said city, poles, wires and other conductors for the po ioe mci an of electricity for telephone and telegra purposes. p SEOrON 2. Such wires or conductors shall be stretched upon poles or other fixtures above ground in a workmanlike and proper manner; said poles shall be erected at the edge of the sidewalks in said City in a good and, substantial manner and shall be painted.
