Our good friends in Reno cau now hang their harps upon the willows and sit them down beside the pellusid Truckee and mourn for what they have lost. The new law requires that in any divorce onee the cases. If it determines that a decree of divorce shall not be granted, final judgment must be entered, If it is held that a decree should be granted an loterlocutory judgment mast be entered declaring that the parties are entitled toa divorce, r ae ~Itis provided that an appeal may be taken within six monthsafter that entry, bat when a yeer has expired the Court may enter final jadgment—if no appeal is pending—granting the divorce and permitting either party to marry again, So It will be seen that even after the Court bas decided that the party ‘Is entitled toa divorce, he or she cannot know for six months whether the final judgment shall not be entered until the appeal is disposed of, and not even then after the motion for a new trial hag Ween granted or thajadgment reserved. Now, it ie notorious that with the present pressure upon. the Supreme any sherwd lawyer can keep it in the court three or four years or more, and all thie while the plaintiff in action will be hanging by the tent hooks of hope and fear. Leaving Nevads City, a place of 6000 inhabitants, you proceed ina northeasterly direction, and after a drive of 15 minutes over a good road, arrive on the Murchie Oo.’ property, which comprises a tract of four buodred and fifty acres; secured by U. 8S. Patent, -including . mine distinct ledges, namely, Big Biue,. Side Tie, dependent, Red, White snd Biue, Time Star; Alice Bell, Ina dian Hill, Wide West, Drain Tuonel, aud also a large rich gravel mine of a half mile extent, First in importance is the Big Blue Lade, over which we have a large hoisting works, 100x40 feet. containing @ substantial plant for pumping witb un automatic cat off, 12x80 engine capable of pumping 1000 feet; also a first-claes double hoisting gear, with two 1000 foot steel ropes, and 9 12x24 link eugive, with an 8 foot gear and two 7 foot drame, with @ preseut capacity of hoisting 200 tons in 24 hours. Adjoining the building is a 80x48 foot bviler douse, coutaiaing three 4x16 tubuler boilers, and alsoa blacksmith shop 20x30 foot fully equipped and outside iethe wood and yards favorably situated. From said hoisting works a shaft has been sunk, with three compurtments, namely the pump conipartment, 6x5 feet, ia which are four pamps workiug, one four inch lift at 700, one 6 inch planger at 660, one 8 inon pluuger at 500, and one 10 ~} ineb piuoger at 400 pumping to drain taonel; also the sinking compartment, 5x5 feet, and the cage compartment, 5x5 feet, making total size of shaft, 5x16 feet in the cleas, well timbered, with 10x12 timbeis. ’ zs At present the shaft hae reached a depth of 705 feet, showing in bottom a 4 foot ledge of low grade ore, The 700 east drift bas been driven 40 feet on ledge averaging 2} feet wide of low grade ore. The 700 oot west drift has been extended 170 feet through good ground. ‘The ledge averages 6 feet of low grade ore, At 120 feet west of thie shaft we connected this level wi.b the 600-weet drift by a winze 6x5 feot, which shows io both ende a ledge 5 feet wide of fair ore, which we are now atoping. The 600 level has been ran east 160 feet on ledge averaging 34 feet wide of good ore, which has been stoped outtothe 500 level, leaving a ledge in the breast 8 feet wide, which we are vow stoping. The 600 west is extended 170 feet through ledge averaging 4 feet wide of good ore, and we are still drifting abead to. cut the Homestead chute, which is our richest ore body, Ia the back'of thie drift we are stoping in good ground a ledge 18 inches wide of good ore. The 500 east drift is in 800 feet. The first 250 feet showed a ledge averaging 4 feet wide of very good ore, which hes been stcped out up to the 400 level, leaving a ledge in breast of stépes 4: feet wide. ‘The 500 west drift hae been driven 430 feet threngh ledge and ledge matter, and at 870 feet trom ebaft connected with the 400 west drift by a winge, 6x4 feet, which shows in both ends a ledge 18 inches of very good ore, and the stopes in the back of this drift, on each end of wivzs, sbow a -imilar ledge of flae cre. \ ee.’ (This report continued next week.) it ee Piles, it’s the best suive in Bota, Bold by W.
