The New Klondike. Messrs. Webb, Berriman & Co, have commenced operations’ on a body’ of gravel situated just above the Federal Loan mine. They have laid a track of T rails from it to Deer creek—a distance of about 100 feet—where it will ' be slniced. There are somé people in Grass Valley who contemplate going to San Francisco to hear Jose and his singers. He has a voice of marvelous sweetness. Another Old-Timer Dies. W. D. Tisdale who died at Los Gatos Monday evening of kidney disease was a-well known citizen here during: the sixties. He was interested in the Banner mine. San Jose where he was engaged in banking and in various other exterprises, The widow of Mr. Tisdale is a niece of Mrs. George F. Jacobs of this city. A Fatal Illness. M. E,.
