Help Us Celebrate.
The invita‘ion committee for the
Fourth of Jaly celebration at Nevada
City does not intend to confine them‘selves to this county but willsend inVitations to different Places in Sierra,
Yuba and Placer counties. The committee has chosen Jo vy. Bell of this
city to employ the female brags band
of Aubarn to come here and play on
that day, and it is thought that they
will undoubtedly come. Mr. Bell is
well-acquaioted in Auburn, having
lived there a long time, and left here
this morniog on his mission. He wili
also endeavor to get the Firemen and
other organizations of that place to
accompavy the band here.
The committee is now making ar.
rapgements for attraciions from various oiber places: An effort will be
made to get the railroads to reducs the
fare for people who come here to
spend Independence Day. An invitation will be extended to the people of
Marysville and the military company
and the Parlor of Native Sons.at that
place. The feeling for a. two-day
celebration is rapidly growing.
