Death nee Picon se. Kitts.
Mrs. Jane Winters Kitts, an old
resident of this city, died at the
residence of J. _H. Boardman,
about 1 o’clock on\Friday morning. The immediate ause of her
death was dropsy of the heatt, although she . had been afflicted
with asthma for several years.
She came to Willow Valley in
1857, where she resided until the
‘death of her husband, George
Kitts, when she leased her ,house
and moved into town, and has
since been employed in the capac. “ity of a nurse. During the past
: few: weeks she had suffered great
pain, but*boreup herbically under
hersevere affiiction. When told
there was no hope for.-her recovery, she became resigned, and devoted herself in preparing for the
inevitable future. She received
the holy communion trom the
hands of her pastor, Rev. Father . *
S
McNulty shortly before her death, . and passed away “like one who
wraps the drapery of her couch
about her, and lies down to pleas:
ant dreams.”” The old lady had
a generous heatt, and there are
those living here now who can at. test to her many deedsof kindness
in times. of . her affluence.
‘‘Requiescat in pace.”
