Recently was chronicled in our paper the demise of one of California’s most prominent miners—Reuben Rickard, of Oakland, who died while in the discharge of his professional duties as a mining engineer, in charge of-properties in the Coolgardie Dis. trict, West Australia. The report published was from his brother Alfred Rickard. a gentleman of almost equal prominence in the mining world. And now comeg the sad on the~ West Australian coast, whither he had gone’ to meet his brother Reuben and take charge of a New Zealand mining property.
