It is quite evident that a similar request will have to be made in this city, that ie, if there should happen to be a large congregation in attendance at any time, The ladies do not object té removing their hats at the theatre, and why should they object doing so at the churches ? Saturday County Clerk Arbogest entered the default of the defendant to the complaint of plaintiff in the suit of Gertrude M. Ford, administratrix of the estate of Martin Ford, deceased, against the Grass Valley Gold Mining Company. It was asuit to quiet title to the Irish American mining claim at Grass Valley. A similar complaint was filed by Gertrude M. Ford on April 25th to qaiet title to the Hudson Bay Quartz mine, Emmett quartz mine and the Victory quartz mine.
