that ie, if there should happen to be a
large congregation in attendance at
any time, The ladies do not object té
removing their hats at the theatre, and
why should they object doing so at the
churches ? People like to see the
speaker but the high hats obstruct the
view of about one-half of the congregation.

Every Claim Is Backed By
Local Testimony.
Tae
Ifthe reader wants stronger proof
than the following statement and experience of a resident of Nevada City,
what can it be?
W.G. Richards, groceries and provisions, Broad street, next door to the
City Hall, says: “Some months ago I
was so lame across the small of my
back that I was forced to send a note
to Vinton’s drug store for Doan’s Kidney Pills. It was an impossibility for
me to stoop and what caused the trouble was 80 great a mystery as to what
to do to get rid of the annoyacce.
The treatment of Doan’s Kidney Pills
effectually stopped the backache and
it did not require the entire contents
of the box. I gave the balance to a
miner, a friend of mine, who has taken
a course of the treatment since and
undoubted relief followed.”
