Chronicle: Figures are an importabt
matter when they are correct. The record
of the Omaha and Lone Jack mine speaks
for itself in the following figures, the accuracy of which is vouched for. It has prduced about $2,000,000 all told, has paid
$90,000 in dividends, and the yearly output
is 600 tons, paying $20 te $30 a ton exclusive of sulphurets. The twenty-eightstamp mill is kept running night and day,
and the equipment of the mine is splendid
in every respect. Seventy-five men are employed at day’s pay; and there-are fifty-five
tributers. There are two inclined shafts,
one, the Omaha, is down 1500 feet, and the
other, the Lone Jack, is down.to a depth of
1600 feet, while sinking is progressing on
both shafts.
The mine has required skillful manage.
