Report. of His Death Due to His Scn’s
Misapprehension. .
The published report of the death of
John Carey, the pioneer farmer of
Cherokee, was an error. Mr. Carey,
although in’ feeble health, still lives,
hope that.the old man will be spared
to them foPa long time to come. _.
William Tindall of Derbec, from
whom the TranscriprT got its information yesterday of the supposed death,
was told Thursday evening by a son of
‘John Carey that his father hadpassed
away. The yonnger Mr. Carey had it
seems misunderstood a telephone message sent him relative to his father’s
