John Hippert, Sr., three sisters—Miss
Tillie Hippert, Mrs. L. E. Peek and
Mre. W. G. Shand—and three brothers,
A rescue patty ‘was organized as
soon as the news reached Graniteville
and about a dezen men started out to
bunt for the unfortunate young man.
They shut off the water from the dam
and this morning the remains of Andrew Hippert were recovered and taken
to Graniteville. The body was bruised
and cut and the skull fractured just
above the forehead, Gus Ozalli, Will
Shand and others recovered the remains and telephoned to Lane’s undertaking parlors at thiscity for a casket.
The funeral will take place tomorrow
afternoon at Graniteville.
