A Letter of . hanks.
PortLanp, Or., Sept. 7, 1900.
Mr. O. F. Wo .pwarp—Dear Sir:—
For the past two years I have been
troubled greatly with a redness of my
skin, and a great number of pimples on
my face. I tried almost everything
under the stiti to rid myself of these
disorders, but nothing did me any good
until Igot a package of Lane’s Tea. I
havé used it for two weeks steady, and
my Complexion is as clearas a niirror
and my skin as white as snow.

August Flower.
“Tt is a surprising fact,” says Prof.
Houston, “that in my travels in all
parts of the world, for the last ten
years, I huve met more people having
used Green’s August Flower than any
remedy, for ayspeps3ia, deranged liver
and stomach, and for constipation. [
find for tourists, and salesman, or for
persons filling office positions, where
headaches and general bad feelings
from irregular habits exist, that
Green’s August Flower is a grand remedy. It does not injure the system by
feequent use and is excellent for sour
stomachs and indigestion.” Sample

With Norris & Rowe’s Big Trained
Animal Shows, which will exbibit in
this city next Monday afternoon and
hight, under their large waterproof
tents, which will be located at Grissel’s
Field, on Boulder street, is a “stage
siruck” canine, who answers to the
fame. of Hamlet. The dogis a cross
between a “yaliar” and acur dog, but
is particularly bright and afféstionate.
Hamlet “joined out” with the show at
New Westminster last season of his
own volition. The dog was noticed
around the tents ail day with a sort of
a “wish-I-was-with-the-show” look in
his eye. After the performance in the
evening when the men were loading
the cars, they found Hamlet seated on
the front. steps of the baggage car.

They tried to make him go away, but
he determinedly remained where’ he
was seated and the endéavors of the
men to get him to go were of no avail,
soas a last resort they placed him
inside with the other dog actors. Hamlet mad friends of his canine companions and was soon the favorite of
fall the attaches. He was taken in hand
hy Professor Norris and he shewed.a
willingness and aptitude for learning
tricks that was nothing short of
phenominal. Hamlet is now one of
the star performers with Norris &
Rowe’s shows. Unlike the -other dogs
he is given the freedom of the tente;
can go and come when he pleases, but
Hamlet never abuses the trust and
confidence putia’him. He is a great
dog and no mistake.
