Seeses seoe.eMay 3, 1901 Another Wreck, Chree Railroad Wen Seriously A freight train, west bound, on the Central Pecific railroad was wrecked near Newcastle yesterday afternoon about 1 o’clock. A passenger on the Up-train informed the TRANSCRIPT toduy that the eccident was Caused by (he spreading of raile, and that the day Coech which was attached to the train was thrown down a canyon seventy_ five feet and smashed to pieces. The Cabooee sollowed suit, but’dashed down. twenty-five feet further and was like wise reduced. Three of the railroad mep, who were inthe caboose, were severely injured. One of the unfortunate men bad his back broken, ard up. the other two were badly bruised Three freight cars, boose, were thrown into wood, killed.
