THE MYSTERIOUS SLATES.
Will Begin an Engagement at the Theater
Tomorrow Night.
John Slater, the spiritual medium:
and psychic who opens a series of test
seances tomorrow night at the theater,
is a most remarkable man and ‘is regarded by spiritualists everywhere as
the greatest living medium. He is a
speaker of wonderful power and the
exhibitions of spirit rétarn. which he
gives mystify and thrill his audiences.
His powers in the line of psychic
phenomena are so well known that they
need hardly be described. Among
other things at the seances he collects
upon a table on the stage little articles
proffered by persons in the audience
and picking them up at random he
tells the owners some astonishing
things. Some of these things they already know, some they suspect, and
some they do not dream of until Mr.
Slater tells them. Everything he does
is in full light no darkness, no cabinet:
or paraphenalia of any kind. During
the entire evening he keeps his audience wrought up toa high pitch of interést and then he sends them away
mystified and convinced of his wonderful’ power. Mr. Slater invites the
criticism of skeptical people. His
seances are the wonder of thousands
both in the United States and Europe.
Call it spiritualism, psychic power,
mind reading or what: you will, his
work astonishes: our best — scientific
men.
