Wood, young men of North Bloomfield who recently started to the New River mines, returned this week. They went only as far as San Francisco, and there heard that it was next to impossible to get to the mines at present on account of storms. The officers’ reports show that the aggregate of: business for the year ending ,December 31st, was $16,000 less than the preceding year, but wing to penses, and a less cost of repairs, the net profits were greater than for the year 1883, amounting to $23,599 62, which provides, for the interest on the bonded debt, and leaving a cash balance beside.
