FRIDAY EVENING, ————— YUBA RIVER’S: OUTLET. The Government Contractors Change Its Course. MarysvILuE, Nov. 13.—Tbhe Government contract for the placing of a newmouth to the Yuba River, which has been in progress f r three months, was completed last Saturday night, and a portion of the river was turned into the canal which empties into the Feather River, 1,260 feet southwest, in which distance there is at least eight feet o{ fall. The work is very satisfictory,) and indicates that it will be the means of re liev ing much outside pressure on the levee this winter in the event of high water.
