The Enormous Production of the California Oil Fields of 1899.
~“Ehe-outpatfor the California Oil
Fields for 1899 is estimated at 15,000,000 barrels. This is a most remarkable
showing and is more mineral weulth
than the Klondike has ever produced
in a-single year, and about equals the
gold production of this State.The oil fields of Fresno county are}
today offering opportunities for investment that surpass even the gold fields
of the Klondike,
The excitement is hourly increasing,
and the year 1900 will undoubtedly see
the greatest legitimate boom in oil and
oil stocks that this country has ever
experienced.
One of the best oil claims in the
famous Coalinga District is that owned
by the Juanira Or Mintna AND DEVELopmmnt. Company. ‘Their property is
on the great Kreyenhagen strata, and
A. G. Walker, a Pennsylvania expert,

the District. The shell reefs, the shale,
surface indications and a_ veritable
mound of oil sand are all present, exactely as in the Pennsylvania fields.
The oil must certainly be there.
The Directors of the Juanita are enthusiastic over the prospects and are
offering 5000 shares of Treasury stock
at 50.cents a share, (the regular price
being $1), in order to raise money to
pay for sinking the first well. The
stock is selling rapidly and the entire
issue of 5000 shares will undoubtedly
be sold within a very short time.
The office of the Juanita Oil Mining
and Development Company is at 967
Broadway, Rooms 1 and 2, Oakland
Alameda Co., Cala. The Directors an’
announce positively that no more than
5000 shares above -referred to will be
