The Enormous Production of the California Oil Fields of 1899. ~“Ehe-outpatfor the California Oil Fields for 1899 is estimated at 15,000,000 barrels. One of the best oil claims in the famous Coalinga District is that owned by the Juanira Or Mintna AND DEVELopmmnt. Company. ‘Their property is on the great Kreyenhagen strata, and A. G. The shell reefs, the shale, surface indications and a_ veritable mound of oil sand are all present, exactely as in the Pennsylvania fields. The oil must certainly be there. The Directors of the Juanita are enthusiastic over the prospects and are offering 5000 shares of Treasury stock at 50.cents a share, (the regular price being $1), in order to raise money to pay for sinking the first well.
