But all who have learned to bear life’s trials, worriments and disappointments with Christian fortitude, who have cultivated through trying experiences a heroic, optimistic and grateful disposition, and who believe in helping a worthy but unfortunate brother through life, can truly be joyful on this occasion, for he has something to be thankful for. . But as a whole, everybody has something-to be thankful for. Ifyou cannot feel thankful for anything more, by all means express gratitudethat you live in a community filled with large-hearted and charitably-inclined people who do not forget the poor, needy and unfortunate when the winter and holiday seasons draw nigh, but who go down deep in their pockets and freely respond whenever appealed to by the local Benevolent Society. He was making some repairs to the dwelling house when he made a mis-step and fell quite a die tance, striking upon a pile of jagged rocks, He landed on his knees and was thrown backward against one of the rocks. His back was severely injared, and be fainted away from the effects of the fall. He struck a telephone wire in-his descent, which to a slight extent lessened the force of the fall. A doctor was immediately sum moned and Mr. Craig’s injuries attended to. This afternoon the inJohn J. O’Donnell of Moores Flat, who wae stricken with pneumonia last Monday at bis home at that place, succambed to its dread effects this forenoon.
