Nevada, State of California, for the grant of
the right, privilege or franchise of laying,
maintaining, repairing and replacing, from
time to time, gas pipes ur mains along, and
beneath the surface of, the county road
from Nevada City to Grass Valley by way of

also along the county road, known as the
old Idaho road, from point thereon where
the gas plant of said company is situated, to
the corporate limits of the city of Grass Valley, to be used for the parpose of conveying
gas between Grass Valley and Nevada City
and of distributing the same to the inhabitants of Grass Valley and Nevada City and

replacing, from time to time, gas pipes or
mains aiong, and beneath the surface of, the
county road from Nevada City to Grass Valley by way of Town Talk in the said count;
of Nevada, and also along the county cme f

thereon where the gas plant of said company
is situated, to the corporate limits of the city
of Grass Valley, to be used for the purpose
of conveying gas between Grass Valley and
Nevada City and of distributing the same to

“Szction 2. Thesaid grantee of the said
right, privilege or franchise shall have the
right of Jaying and maintaining supply and
disiributing pipes from its gas pipes and
mains in the said county road to the premises of all —— who may ¢esire to purchase gas from it.
“SECTION 3, All gas pipes and mainsand all
supply aud distributln ipes shall be of
iron and thall be of such dimensions as the
said gravtee shall determine ; and shall be
laid atleast twenty inches belowthe surface
of the said county road, under the supervision of the road masters in the districts in or
through which they shai! be laid.
“Szorion 4. The said grantee, after laying. replacing or scudisten said gas pipes
and mains and supply and distributing pi
