TUESDAY ee ae 18, 1898 one rntennnnmnnenatn HOOPER 13 IN dalle Claims Casey Had Prouealy Threat. to Kill Him. — Robert, Hooper, who on Saturday last shot and killed Mark Casey at Mrs. Mitchell’s ranch, at Randolph Fiat,) was captured at half-past four o’clock yesterday afternoon by Sheriff Getchell and Gity Marshal Smith of Grass Valley. found him at the Mitchell ranch, sober and frightenad, and ready to surrender, and bronght bim to the coutity jail, arriving here about dark, Hie was looked up in one of the “tanks” and slept soundly all night.
