John R. Tyrrell, candidate for State

at Downieville ov Saturday: They will
then visit Sierra City, Sierraville,. Lewis Mill, Loyalton and Gibsonville. ‘The

Yeaterday afternoon Supervisor J.
M. Buffington received the sad intelli-gence of the death of his nephew, Albert G. Gurnett, which occured yesterday morning at Oakland. The deceased was a native of California and
aged 19 years. He had visited here
on several occasions and made many
friends among our people, who will be
grieved to learned of his untimely
death. No particulars have been
learned as to the cause of death.
