Joubert and Miss Elicie Faure of Camptonville were here jast night en route to San Francisco to visit friends. Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Vinton and Miss Hazel Vinton, who have been to Sacramento on a visit, returned nome Satarday evening. Miss Lizzie Naffziger, the popular school teacher at North Bloomfield, re-. turned yesterday after attending the Institute here. Miss May Buffingten, the. popular school teacher of Truckee, who has been here attending the Institute, returned to Truckee yesterday. Mrs. Ed. Williams of Auburn -was here yesterday on a visit to her parents, Leopold Garthe and wife. She returned home this morning. TOMORROW NIGHT'S BANQUET Local Native Sons and Their Ladies Will Receive Grand Trustee Dooling in Style. The Native Sons of Hydraulic Parlor have completed their arrangements for giving Superior Judge Dooling of San Benito county a true mountain welcome when he comes here tomorrow night in his official capacity to visit the the Parlor. A meeting of the organization will be held in Pythian Castle from 9 to 8:45 o’clock when the secret work will be exemplified. At the latter hour the Natives and their guest will. go. to the Union Hotel where-an laborate banquet will be served with F,. T. Nilon as master of ceremonies. Each member of the Parlor is entitled to invite one lady tothe banquet, and the ladies who are to attend will assemble in the parlors of the hotel just before ten .o’clock. Wild’s orchestra will furnish: instrumental music and the program will also embrace eloquent and witty speeches as well as songs. It is expected that there will be nearly if not quite one hundred ladies and Native Sons at-the feast. Judge Dooling is a native of Moores Flat in this county, his parents having been prominent pioneer residents of the once famous mining town.
