One of the biggest and most important enterprises. ever inaugurated in

reached, when the track ‘crosses thé

takes a southwesterly course down
the . hillside to the Nevada County
Traction Co.’s station, where the carhouses and repair shops are situated
on a level and picturesque stretch of
country. -This delightful spot has
recently been named Glenwood, being
formerly known as the Sutton ranch.
From here the road makes a gentle

joins the main turnpike or wagon
road which it follows to Grass Valley, passing up Majin street and

the Auditorium, which is the present

very picturesque one and. the grades
of the roadway are quite gentle, a
uniform eleventh-grade being followed in its construction.
In the center of the Traction Company’s property at Glenwood, and
connegted with the main line is a spur

cars pass each other. This point is
about half way nie Nevada City
and Gfass Valley and it is intended
that the cars will leave both cities at
the same time and meet at this switch

branch tracks, one of each leading to
the three large entrances of the
building. Inthe building the three
tracks are excavated underneath and
the space will be used by employes in
cleaning and repairs. The excavations:are quite roomy, being eight

The car house itself is quite a structure, being 109 feet in iength and 47
feet wide, and is constructed of corrugated fron. In the rear of this large
building are two smaller structures,

Too Much Talking.
Assuredly it takes a great deal of
correcting of testimony in the Schley
court of inquiry for the witness to get
themselves on record right. A’ majority of the witnesses have come
back after they thought they had got
through to change something, and it
suggests that the whole controversy
has arisen out of too much talking by
gentlemen who went ahead before
they were sure they were right.
