Charles Nivhols, an. employe at Cooper Bros.’. sawmill, above Quaker Hill, mt! with a fatal accident this morning. He was engaged in lielping to handle logs, when one of them rolled over crushed him to death. A telephone message was sent to this city and thence to Grass Valley, where relatives of the deceased reside, hint aid No particulars could be obtained regarding the accident. Charles Nichols was .a son of John Nichols of Rough and Ready, and a brother of Mrs, John Wickes of Grass Valley. Coroner Hocking was notified and left this forenoon -for the scene of the accident.
