The “Black Bart” who was reported to have been arrested, tried and sentenced toa term in the Kansas penitentiary, is, of course, not the real Black Bart. But he turns out to be a scamp in whom California law o‘ticers are interested, for he is known here His soubriquet of “Black Bart” in Kansas is probably self-assumed. He looks about as much Jike the real Bluck Bari as_a-bird’s-nest-looks-like amilepost. He is a young and vicious looking fellow.
