When the sponge has raised mix in some more flour, one pound of butter (washed), five to six eggs well beaten with half a pound of sugar; mix in about two and a half or three pints of lukewarm milk and more flour, together with one-quarter oucce of saffron, which has been dried in the oven, pulverized and soaked ina little one-half pound ot seediees raisins, one-quarter pound of two ounces scalded and finely-chopped bitter almonds, two tablespoonfals of rosewater and a little bitter orange peel, When this is ali mixed to a soft dough and raised make your loaves and let them rise.
