A Large Nunmber of ‘Matters Come Up
Today For Determination.
In the Superior Court this morning
the motion to set aside the order ci sale
of real estate in the matter of the estate of Artbar McDunald, deceased,
was denied. :
The final account of the administrator of the estate of Jos. Girard was
settled.
The will of George A. Johnson, deceased, was admitted to probate. Letters testamentary were issued to James
Foster without bonds. W. J. Woods,
A.M. Weed and S. T. Dibble were appointed appraisers.
The hearing of the petition for the
probate of the late Tiv Loy’s will was
postponed for one week.
A decree of distribution was granted
in the matter of the estate of Mrs.
Olive Dickerman, deceased.
In the estate of Kerr Phelan, deceased,
the return of sale of personal property
was continued one week.
The hearing of the demurrer to the
compluint in the case of David Holland
vs. Honora Meehan was continued
one week. ~
In the case of J. W. Relly vs. Patrick
Campbell the motion to dissolve the
injunction was argued.
In the insolven:y cases of W. H. and
S. T. Marchie the demurrers to the answer to the objections to the final discharge were argued.

Philip Henry Paynter, an old resident of Grass Valley, and who for
many years was Justice of the Peace,
is
died there this morning. He had beeii . in poor health for some time past. Mr
Paynter was a native of Cornwall, England, aged 63 years and 6 months, aud

funeral will probably take place op
