Last evefiing’s Grass Valley Telegraph says: A family named Cave, who arrived here a few days ago, and are residing on Hill’s Flat, are in destitute circumstances and to add to their misfortune two of the children are down with scarlet fever. The attention of the Ladies’ Relief Society was called to the case and Saturday they sent out a supply of provisions. The children who are ill are now Yeceiving proper care and it is hoped will’ soon be well.
