George L. Hughes presented the following which was adopted:
Resouvep, That’ hereafter all delegates from Nevada county to Republican State and District conventions
shall be elected at primaries, caucuses
or county conventiinn as may be determined by proper action of the county central committee acting under the
call of the State Central mittee.
Be it further resolved that this resolution, when adopted, shall not be rescinded except at a meeting where twocommittee shall actually be present and vote
in favor of reconsidering the same.

An Unfortunate Family.
Last evefiing’s Grass Valley Telegraph says: A family named Cave, who
arrived here a few days ago, and are residing on Hill’s Flat, are in destitute
circumstances and to add to their misfortune two of the children are down
with scarlet fever. The attention of
the Ladies’ Relief Society was called to
the case and Saturday they sent out a
supply of provisions. The children
who are ill are now Yeceiving proper
care and it is hoped will’ soon be well.
The society is doing a vast amount of
good in Grass Valley, and the ladies
are deserving of great credit for their
